BELLIS CARPET MIXED

Variety Description
An attractive mixture of double English Daisies, the flowers are borne on compact plants in shades of pink red and white. The plants grow to a height of 6-8” (15-20cm) and are particularly useful as an edging plant for borders or for the rock garden.

Sowing and Germination
Seeds may be raised under glass or may be sown in drills 1/4” (6cm) deep outside in May/June. When the seedlings are large enough to handle they should be thinned out to 3-4” (8-10cm) apart, transplanting them to their final positions in September spacing them about 5” (13cm) apart. The plants will flower in the following year from April onwards.

Uses
Bellis are particularly useful as an edging plant for borders or for the rock garden. Flowering over along period they may be used on their own or as an attractive backing to wallflowers and Spring flowering bulbs.
