DIGITALIS PRIMROSE BELLS

Variety Description
A dwarf free flowering Digitalis which produces spikes of delightful yellow bells. Will flower in the first year from early sowings. Height 40cm.

Sowing and Germination
Sowing period January to July. The seeds should be sown in pots or trays, and germinated at 18 -20 degrees Centigrade. Alternatively the seeds may be sown in April to July for flowering in the following year.

Growing on
The plants should be pricked out and grown on in small pots 10cm (4”) or seed trays and hardened off prior to planting. Those from early sowings should be planted in May and they will flower from August onwards, later sowings should be gown on and planted in the open ground in their final position in July /August spacing them 18” apart where they will flower from May to August in the following year.

Uses
Ideal plant for the herbaceous border.
