Variety description
A greatly improved mixture with a bright colour range, including many interesting bi-colours in shades of red, pink, magenta, orange and salmon. Very free flowering in habit making it an ideal plant for the edge of the border or rockery. It is excellent for pictorial packets.

Sowing and Germination
The seed should be sown in early spring and germinated at 15-20 degrees Centigrade. Germination takes about 10 – 14 days.

Pricking Out and Potting On
The seedlings should be pricked out, when they are large enough to handle, into seed trays or small pots.

Growing on
The plants should be grown on at 10-12 Degrees Centigrade and gradually hardened off prior to planting in the open ground where they are to flower. They should be planted 12 inches (30 centimetres) apart

Marketing and Uses
Harlequin is an excellent choice for growing in the rockery or at the front of the border. Being a native of South Africa, Mesembryanthemum prefers a well-drained, sandy soil and full sun.
